About CURE Hydration

Founded by Lauren

Cure makes powdered electrolyte drink mixes built on coconut water, pink Himalayan salt and real fruit, with no added sugar and no artificial ingredients. The formula follows the World Health Organization's oral rehydration solution balance of sodium, potassium and glucose, sweetened with organic stevia and monk fruit. Alongside the core hydration line there is Cure Kids and a caffeinated Energy mix. Founder Lauren started mixing early recipes in her own kitchen after struggling to find an electrolyte drink without neon colors and sugar.

Good to know

Answered by CURE Hydration.

  • What is Cure's formula based on?

It follows the World Health Organization's oral rehydration solution (ORS) ratio of glucose to sodium, made with plant-based ingredients and no added sugar.

  • Why is Cure a powder instead of a liquid?

Water is evaporated from coconut water so the mix ships without refrigeration, and the stick packs use far less packaging than a plastic bottle.

  • Is Cure a supplement?

No. The FDA classifies it as a food and beverage.

  • Does Cure contain allergens?

It is free of milk, egg, soy, peanut, tree nut, sesame, fish and shellfish allergens, but every product contains coconut water. It is made in a facility that also handles milk, peanut, soy, wheat, egg, tree nuts and shellfish.

  • Does Cure use artificial sweeteners?

No. It is sweetened with organic stevia extract and monk fruit, with no sugar alcohols or artificial flavors, colors or dyes.

  • How long does Cure stay fresh?

About 18 months at room temperature from the manufacture date. Once mixed and refrigerated, drink it within 24 hours. Heat and humidity can cause clumping.

  • Why does the powder settle in my bottle?

The natural ingredients, especially the pink Himalayan salt, can sink. A quick shake or stir mixes it back in.

  • How is Cure Kids different?

It uses the same formula in kid-friendly flavors and packaging. Both lines are suitable for ages 1 and up.
