About Dewey's Bakery
Dewey's Bakery bakes thin, crisp Moravian cookies in flavors like Meyer Lemon, Triple Ginger, Salted Caramel and Brownie Crisp, along with Moravian Sugar Cake, chocolate-layered Dewzies and Cheddar cheese straws. The bakery opened in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1930, building on a cookie tradition brought to the town by Moravian immigrants in the 1700s. It still runs local bakeries there, and its cookies are now sold in grocery stores nationwide.
