About Golden Ratio
Founded by Clark Nowlin
Golden Ratio makes gold roast coffee, roasted lighter than a blonde or light roast for a smooth, low-acid cup without bitterness. It comes in single-serve cotton pouches that you steep like tea, either in hot water or overnight in the fridge for cold brew. The beans are single origin coffees from Nicaragua, Brazil and Ethiopia. Founder Clark Nowlin started the brand in Austin, Texas, after finding gold roast coffee hard to source.

What is gold coffee?
A coffee roasted at lower temperatures, landing between white coffee and a light roast. It brews golden in color, smooth and without bitterness.
How much caffeine does it have?
On average about 50% more caffeine than regular coffee per gram. Steep shorter for a lighter cup or longer for a stronger one.
What does it taste like?
Drinkers often describe it as nutty, chocolatey and smooth, with a lightness closer to tea.
Where are the beans from?
Three single origin coffees from Nicaragua, Brazil and Ethiopia, ethically sourced through the brand's roasters.
What are the coffee pouches made of?
Organic cotton with no dyes. The bags and pouches are free of BPA, and the bags are recyclable.
What is in the flavored coffees?
Flavored versions combine coffee with monk fruit extract, erythritol, natural flavors and gum acacia, plus spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, allspice and cloves in the Chai Spiced.
How long does it keep?
Unopened, about 12 months; bags are nitro-flushed and heat sealed. Once brewed, refrigerate and drink within 72 hours.
How many pouches per serving?
One pouch per 8 oz cup. Some people reuse a pouch for a second cup.
