About Happy Wolf

Founded by Jana, Co-founder

Happy Wolf makes soft, fudgy fridge-fresh snack bars for kids from organic sunflower and pumpkin seed butters, oats, dates and fruit, sweetened with honey instead of refined sugar. The bars are free from the top nine allergens, which makes them a fit for nut-free school lunches, and they keep for several days out of the fridge. The brand was started by Jana, a mom of two toddlers, with longtime friend and fellow parent Derek after they tested recipes in their own kitchens.

Good to know

Answered by Happy Wolf.

  • Where are the bars made?

All Happy Wolf products are made in Canada.

  • Are the bars vegan?

They contain no dairy or eggs, but they are sweetened with organic honey, so they are not vegan.

  • Are the bars kosher?

Yes, all products are certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union.

  • Which allergens are the bars free from?

All bars are free from the top nine allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, wheat/gluten, dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, soy and sesame. They are made in a fully peanut-free facility and tested by a third-party lab.

  • How are the bars sweetened?

With organic honey and dates. There is no refined sugar in any bar.

  • How long do the bars keep?

Up to 9 months in the fridge, and 3 or more days once out of the fridge. Check the best-by date on the box.

  • Can the bars be frozen?

Yes, they freeze well and can be eaten frozen.

  • Why does the texture change outside the fridge?

The seed butters naturally separate as the bar warms, giving an oily top, much like natural nut butter. It is safe to eat, just softer.
