About Jim's Organic Coffee

Founded by Jim Cannell

Jim's Organic Coffee roasts only certified organic, 100% Arabica coffee in small batches, from bright single origins to smoky dark roasts, decafs and flavored coffees. Beans come through long-standing partnerships with growers in Central and South America, Africa and Indonesia who farm with organic and regenerative practices. Jim Cannell started the company in 1996 after pioneering what the brand calls the country's first all-organic coffee roaster.

Good to know

Answered by Jim's Organic Coffee.

  • What kind of beans do you use?

All of the coffee is 100% Arabica.

  • How are the decafs decaffeinated?

With the Swiss Water Process, which uses only water and removes 97-98% of the caffeine.

  • Is the coffee nut-free?

    Yes, including the Hazelnut flavor.

  • Is the coffee gluten-free?

Yes, according to the brand's allergen statement.

  • Is the coffee kosher?

Yes. All coffees are Certified Kosher Pareve by the Orthodox Union.

  • Is the coffee shade grown?

Yes, every coffee they sell is shade grown.

  • How fresh is the coffee?

They roast and pack every business day into nitrogen-flushed one-way valve bags, and most coffee ships within a few days of roasting.

  • How should I store it?

Keep bags somewhere cool and dry. Once open, roll the bag tight and seal it with the tin tie, or move the coffee to an airtight container.
