About Kuli Kuli
Founded by Lisa Curtis
Kuli Kuli makes organic moringa powder and capsules, plus gummies, café-style lattes and drink blends built around superfoods like baobab, hibiscus and sea moss. Its moringa comes from smallholder farmers in Ghana and other countries, and every lot is third-party tested and packed in the U.S. Founder Lisa Curtis discovered moringa as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger through a traditional peanut snack called kuli kuli, which gave the brand its name.
Good to know
Answered by Kuli Kuli.
What does moringa taste like?
Mild and earthy, similar to matcha but a little more peppery. It blends well into smoothies and also works in soups, curries, sauces and baking.
Which part of the moringa plant is used?
All Kuli Kuli products use dried moringa leaves, hand-selected to keep only the tender green leaves.
Is the moringa tested for contaminants?
Yes. Every lot is third-party tested three times for heavy metals, pesticides, microbiology and nutritional potency, and all inspection and packing happens in the U.S.
Where is the moringa sourced?
It is grown by smallholder farmers across Africa and India using organic practices, and the brand works directly with its farmer partners.
Are the moringa gummies vegan?
Yes. Kuli Kuli's moringa gummies are vegan and gelatin-free.
How much moringa is in each capsule?
Each capsule holds 500mg, so the two-capsule serving contains 1,000mg.
Why does the powder's color vary between batches?
Moringa is a crop, so season, rainfall and harvest timing cause natural color differences.
Can I cook or bake with moringa?
Yes. High heat can reduce some vitamins, so for the most potency stir it in at the end of cooking.
