About MiLa
Founded by Jen Liao, Co-founder
MìLà makes frozen Chinese dishes for cooking at home, from soup dumplings and potstickers to regional noodle dishes, rice bowls, bao and sauces like chili crunch. The soup dumplings are frozen raw rather than pre-cooked, so you steam them fresh in your own kitchen. The brand was started by husband-and-wife team Jen Liao and Caleb Wang, who opened the restaurant Xiao Chi Jie in Bellevue in 2018. Dumplings and sauces are made in their own facility outside Seattle.

Answered by MiLa.
How are MìLà soup dumplings different from other frozen soup dumplings?
They are made in facilities MìLà owns and are frozen raw, so you cook them yourself instead of reheating a pre-cooked product. Steaming takes about 11 minutes.
Where are the products made?
Dumplings and sauces are made daily in MìLà's facility just outside Seattle, WA. Noodles are made with production partners on the West Coast, including Los Angeles, Des Moines (WA) and Woodinville (WA).
How long do the products keep?
Soup dumplings and noodles keep frozen for up to a year and should not be refrigerated. Chili crunch and black vinegar keep at room temperature for up to a year unopened; the ginger scallion and dipping sauces stay frozen until use, then refrigerated for up to a month.
Do MìLà products contain nuts?
All products except the Vegan Soup Dumplings contain no peanut or tree nut allergens, though some are processed in a facility that also handles nuts. Full ingredient and allergen lists are on the site.
What does MìLà mean?
It means honey (mi) and spice (la) in Chinese, reflecting the sweet and spicy sides of the founders' Chinese American identity.
