About NUTSÓLA

Founded by Michael Kukoff, Co-founder

NUTSÓLA makes organic dark chocolate bars, superfood granola and protein powder, all sweetened only with dates or fruit rather than cane sugar, coconut sugar, stevia or sugar alcohols. Its DÄT chocolate bars use six or fewer ingredients, in flavours like Almond Crunch, Peanut Butter and Hazelnut Crunch. The brand is a father-and-son company from Livingston, New Jersey, started by Michael and Adam Kukoff from a recipe Michael first mixed in the family kitchen.

Good to know

Answered by NUTSÓLA.

  • What do you sweeten your products with?

Only dates or fruit. No cane or coconut sugar, stevia or sugar alcohols such as erythritol.

  • How should I store the chocolate bars?

In the fridge or below 65°F, away from heat and direct sunlight. With no preservatives, warmth can cause blooming.

  • Why do my chocolate bars look lighter or whitish?

That is cocoa bloom, caused by temperature changes in chocolate made without preservatives. The bars are still safe to eat.

  • Why is the nut butter filling dry?

The filled bars contain no preservatives, additives or hydrogenated oils, so they can dry out over time. Refrigerating them helps.

  • Is the chocolate organic?

Yes, the chocolate is USDA certified organic and made with six or fewer ingredients.

  • Are your products gluten-free?

They are not yet certified gluten-free, but the brand says all its ingredients are gluten-free.

  • Are the chocolate bars keto-friendly?

Yes, the brand describes all of its chocolate bars as keto-friendly.
