About Perfect Snacks
Perfect Bar makes refrigerated protein bars with a soft, cookie-dough-like texture, built on freshly ground nut butter, organic honey, whole food protein and a blend of 20+ superfood powders. The range spans full-size, snack and mini bars, crispy layered bars, oat-based Oaties and higher-protein Protein+ bars. The recipe began with Bud Keith, a San Diego health food pioneer, and his eldest children later turned it into a business. The bars are handmade in San Diego.
Good to know
Answered by Perfect Snacks.
Why are the bars refrigerated?
They contain no chemical preservatives, so refrigeration keeps their freshness, texture, shape and flavor.
How long can they stay out of the fridge?
Most bars stay fresh for about a week outside the fridge. Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Minis are best within two days, since the chocolate can melt.
Is it safe to eat a bar that got warm?
Yes. Warmth may cause the nut butter oils to separate, but the bar will not spoil. Refrigerate it again to restore the texture.
Do the bars contain palm oil?
No. None of the Perfect Bar products contain palm oil.
Are the products kosher?
Yes. All products are kosher certified by the Orthodox Union, shown by the OU symbol on the wrapper.
What are the bars sweetened with?
Mainly organic honey, with maple syrup in some flavors. Chocolate varieties also contain fair trade chocolate chips.
Do the bars contain refined sugar?
Only a small amount, from the chocolate chips in chocolate flavors. The non-chocolate flavors contain no refined sugar.
Are the ingredients cooked?
The bars are cold-pressed rather than cooked, though ingredients such as the honey, dry milk and egg powder are pasteurized.
