About Reclamation Foods

Founded by Edlin

Reclamation Foods makes unseasoned Korean-style bone broth from just bones and water, simmered for more than 12 hours until it turns milky white. The bones come from grass-fed beef and pasture-raised pork and chicken raised on regional US farms, and the shelf-stable broth is sealed in glass jars and gels when chilled. Founder Edlin started cooking the broth he grew up with after leaving tech to apprentice on a regenerative farm, selling it at New York City farmers markets before launching the brand.

Good to know

Answered by Reclamation Foods.

  • What is in the broth?

Only two ingredients: bones and water. Beef broth uses 100% grass-fed beef bones; pork broth uses pasture-raised pork bones.

  • Is the broth seasoned or salted?

No. Every broth is unseasoned so you can add salt and flavor to taste.

  • Is it gluten-free and dairy-free?

Yes. The broths contain only bones and water.

  • Is the broth organic?

It is not certified organic, but the bones come from farms using regenerative practices such as rotational grazing.

  • Where do the bones come from?

From regional, small-scale US farmers focused on regenerative pasture management, soil health and humane practices.

  • Why is Korean-style broth white?

Long simmering emulsifies collagen, marrow and minerals into the broth, giving it a milky, opaque look with no dairy or additives.

  • How should I store it?

Jars are shelf-stable until opened; keep them in a cool, dry place. After opening, refrigerate and use within 14 days.

  • Can I freeze the broth?

Yes, in a freezer-safe container with room for expansion. An ice cube tray makes handy portions.
