About Rootless
Founded by Sachi Singh, Founder & CEO
Rootless makes the Daily Bite, a small whole-food bite that blends five seaweeds (sea moss, dulse, sea lettuce, sugar kelp and bladderwrack) with dates, almonds, sesame and sunflower seeds, and quinoa. Each 35-calorie bite has 150 mcg of iodine and no added sugar, and comes in flavors like Cacao Crunch, Orange Pistachio, Double Strawberry, Coconut Chai and Cinnamon Crunch. The seaweed comes from regenerative partner farms across North America. Founder and CEO Sachi Singh started the brand after her own long search for answers to hormonal health issues led her to food and seaweed.

Answered by Rootless.
What is a Daily Bite?
A whole-food bite made with dates, almonds, sesame and sunflower seeds, quinoa, natural flavors and a blend of five seaweeds. Each has 35 calories, 150 mcg of iodine and no added sugar.
How many should I eat?
One a day. Each bite provides 150 mcg of iodine, 100% of the daily value. If you have a diagnosed thyroid condition, check with your provider first.
What allergens do they contain?
All bites contain almonds and sesame and are made in a facility that also processes other tree nuts and peanuts. Coconut Chai contains coconut and Orange Pistachio contains pistachios.
Are they tested for heavy metals?
Yes. An independent third-party lab has tested the bites for heavy metals and toxicity, and they fall under Prop 65 safe harbor limits.
Where does the seaweed come from?
Rootless partners with regenerative seaweed farms across North America and vets its suppliers for responsible growing and fair pay.
What about the other ingredients?
The dates, almonds and seeds are USDA certified organic.
Are the bites gluten-free?
Yes. They are made with gluten-free ingredients by a manufacturer that meets the requirements for gluten-free claims.
What does the name mean?
Seaweed has no roots; it anchors to the seafloor with structures called holdfasts, so you could call it rootless.
