About Sound
Founded by Tommy Kelly, Co-founder
Sound makes sparkling water infused with real-brewed organic tea, botanicals and fruit extracts, with no sugar or sweeteners of any kind. Flavors pair fruit with herbs and tea, such as tangerine with lemongrass and green tea or grapefruit with lavender and ginger tea. The brand was started by engineer Tommy Kelly, who teamed up with fellow engineer and tea lover Salim Najjar to create an unsweetened drink with more flavor than typical flavored waters.
Good to know
Answered by Sound.
Why is it called Sound?
The name refers to the brand's aim of using only "sound" ingredients, with no sweeteners, artificial ingredients or mystery flavors.
How is Sound different from regular sparkling water?
It is flavored with certified organic tea, botanicals and fruit extracts instead of natural or artificial flavors. The drinks are unsweetened, Certified Organic, Certified Non-GMO, Kosher Certified and Whole30 Approved.
Are the drinks really unsweetened?
Yes. They contain no sweeteners at all, not just no added sugar.
Do the drinks contain natural flavors?
No. Sound uses certified organic extracts rather than natural flavors.
Do the drinks contain caffeine?
About half the flavors do. Tangerine and Blood Orange sparkling waters have 45mg per can, while Grapefruit and Blueberry are caffeine free.
Are the drinks kosher?
Yes, they are Kosher Certified under the OU designation.
Do they contain preservatives?
No chemical preservatives are used. Certified organic citric acid is added to lower the pH.
Why is there sediment at the bottom?
It comes from the real-brewed tea and botanicals. Gently shake the can or bottle to mix it back in.
